The research conducted for Re-Start addresses the challenges refugees and immigrants face in accessing the labour market and starting their businesses in Europe. To achieve this, extensive research was conducted to identify the main difficulties encountered by refugees and immigrants in these areas and to map out the competencies needed for successful entrepreneurship. The project also examined the national rules and regulations regarding entrepreneurship in four European countries: Belgium, Finland, Portugal, and Spain, and identified the types of funding available for business start-ups at both the EU and national levels. The information gathered from this research was used to develop a practical manual and open educational resource to support refugees and immigrants in accessing the labour market and starting their own businesses in Europe.
